You've been warned: the nerds have beats.
Feb. 7th, 2007 10:43 amBy now we've all heard of nerdcore, or at least heard a few nerdcore artists from themed groups such as Lords of the Rhymes to more generalist acts such as MC Frontalot and MC Chris, the most well-known rappers of the genre. There's quite a bit more going on with the geeksta rap than that, including some very talented ladies, but that's not my point.
My point is that I am absolutely ecstatic that Peter Saturday, formerly of the Wisconsin pop-punk bands King Friday and Ben Grim and currently of Portland-based bubblegum powerpop act The Jennifer Echo, is adding his unique voice to the genre.

Mister Saturday sings dancehall reggae about Dungeons and Dragons, Land of the Lost, and Star Trek. Cute boy, infectious beats, fantastic vocals, and fabulously geeky lyrics- what more could you ask for? Seriously, check him out.
